"Won't go unpunished": LG Sinha condemns cop's killing in Anantnag attack | KNO

Srinagar, Jul 22 (KNO): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday condemned the killing a policeman in a terror attack in south Kashmir's Anantnag district. In a post on X, Manoj Sinha, per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said he spoke with DGP Nalin Prabhat to review the situation following the terror attack. He said also offer condolences to the family of the cop killed in the attack. LG Sinha said the whole country stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the family of martyr. "I strongly condemn this cowardly attack. This heinous act will not go unpunished. J&K Police and our security forces are on the ground and will bring those responsible to justice," he said. A head constable, identified as Ashiq Hussain, was killed in a terror attack in Anantnag's Lal Chowk area today afternoon.
